What are Pathtags?

Pathtags are small metal tokens that are used in a variety of ways.  There are some who use pathtags as a signature item similar to a “business card”.  Others use these as a token that proves you completed a task, series, or event.

Geocachers trade the pathtags like baseball cards.   Each pathtag in a set has the same image on one side which is designed or chosen by the purchaser.  Each pathtag has a unique code printed on the back which can be logged and tracked through the pathtag website.  Pathtags are generally round and approximately 1” in diameter, however large tags can be purchased, as well as specialty shapes made by other companies.
